Carmen VanDemarr opened the Oregon Grape Nursery in 1975 on an old country road outside the little town of Willamette in West Linn. Wildflowers and northwest native plants were the focus. The nursery was the first wholesale/retail operation in the area and people were sure that "You will never make it out here in the country!" Carmen's children Greta and Isaac were born and raised in the old farm house. She opened The Footpath Café in 1993. It was also the first espresso café in the area. Oregon Grape Nursery has seen many changes in the past 32 years and strives to keep changing with the community. The Footpath Cafe is delighted to serve their friends and neighbors.

Welcome as always,
Carmen
